Appellate Litigation

The parameters of a key - its size and shape - determine whether it will successfully wind a clock.  In a similar fashion, the "key" to prevailing in the appellate courts is to have the requisite appellate experience and familiarity with the legal issues being litigated.  As a former Vice-President of the ABA Appellate Advocacy Committee, Erwin Adler is a recognized appellate advocate and has appeared as lead counsel in a large variety of appellate matters in the appellate courts in California and in the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. 

Success on Appeal

A poorly handled appeal can significantly affect a client as well as the industry in which it operates.  In terms of success, the lawyers of the Adler Law Group have prevailed in about 70% of the appeals in which they have been engaged, a far higher percentage than the typical appellate advocate.

Acting as Appellate Counsel

Because of the expertise available at the Adler Law Group and its lawyers' successes in the appellate courts, the firm - despite its relatively small size - has been retained as lead counsel in cases initially handled at the trial level by other attorneys.  Further, as requested, it will assist trial counsel in formulating appellate briefs.
